Questions about my first Domain purchase

Well after almost a year, i'm thinking about purchasing an expired domain. I'm using sites like:

• DropDay.com
• ExpiredDomains.net

Does anyone have any suggestions or mistakes i might make. The main things i'm looking at is Visits/day, CPC, Valuation, Age.

Also i want my Competitors% low and Compete Rank high right? I'm not sure about that.

For an example i'm looking at the site livestreamdirect.com It has 16,000 monthly searches, valuation of $2000 and the current bid price is just under $200. Is that something that you would buy?

Those domain appraisal tools are not accurate at all if thats what you used too come up with the $2000

Ya i just did keyword research using LongTailPro and it says that "live stream direct" only gets 22 global searches per month. So where did that site get 16,000 monthly searches?

The sites that you listed are not that popular when it comes to selling good domains, If i were you i would just purchase domains at domainka the site sells good domain names at a cheaper price.

i'm going to post what i post in every thread that talks about buying domain names for more than $10.. domain names don't build fortunes, ideas do. How much do you think the first registerer paid for google.com, facebook.com, ebay.com, paypal.com, etc. etc. ?

You can get a domain for $10 and if your idea is good, you will make millions.. don't look for shortcuts, just work hard and add twists.. i own about 7-8 domains and I never spent more than $1.99/month for each one (even less cos I search for a Godaddy/FXdomains discount code just before buying)...

First thing, Sonyp3, you're just spamming the site, every post you've made so far is the same thing promoting domainka.

And i am looking for a long tail domain or something with the keyword i'm trying to target. Currently the sites that are outranking me have exact matching domains for this keyword.
