Questions about building backlinks

Hi guys, i have a few questions about building backlinks;

1. Do backlinks get passed through the tiers?, so if i send 200 backlinks to my tier 2 site and 100 backlinks to my tier 1 site. Does my money site have 300 backlinks, tier 1 site 300 backlinks, and tier site 200 backlinks? Is that right?

2. What tier should I automate backlinks and social bookmarks? tier 1? 2? I don't want to do a third tier since i have just started SEO and want to see if this works first.

1. if you post 100 backlink to ur money site as 1 tier,then u will only get 100 backlinks .
2. social bookmark can be used as tier 1 for sure.
 
The first and second tier should be your best tier of links. You need to send a lot of third and fourth tier links to them. Also, utilize social signals like FB likes, retweets, +1's, pinterest repins, etc. But to answer your question, you have as many backlinks as the number that go directly to the money site. All other tiers provide "link juice". Make sure you concentrate on writing content for your site. Update it at least 2-3 times per week.

I completely agree on this post, Moreover i just wanna add something to save your SERP. Try to diversify the keywords where you use at tier 1 and tier 2. If you use the same keywords for all those links then you will suffer. Take care of it.

I can confirm this on my own experience. When I was getting started I only built the Tier 1 on like 3 different keywords. And it did helped! I was second in google for about a month, right up till I fell of the map never to be seen again.

I'd recommend some pretty extreme variations. Have some related keywords, some not so related but still in the same area keywords, some url's and some random stuff like "click here, read this, check here" etc.

If you send 200 links to tier 2 then they are for tier 2 and donot have any direct relation to your money site other than that will pass some link juice for which you are creating tiered link building :)
 
Hey, guys a lot of very helpful tips here. Thanks guys.

I just have another question, if i create a web 2.0 for tier 1 or 2, do i need to index it? For example using bulkping or will it index itself. Because i have made several web 2.0's and a few social bookmarks but they aren't showing up on serpbook. Say's my backlinks are n/a.
 
Indexing might take time based on the links you are building for your web 2.0s. Anyway, if you do few social bookmarks, they should get indexed.

To pass the link juice properly, you have to get your Tier-1 indexed. Not indexed means, Google can't see your link. Very simple!

Throw some more links to Tier-1 and they will be indexed.

Also, try to avoid few platform initially for Tier-1 such as Jimdo, Livejournal. They block all the search engine robots and so they never get indexed. However, after getting some trust level, they might get indexed.
 
This is why you want to go to at least a 3rd tier, it's for indexing your tier 2's before they start getting removed, which wouldn't allow link juice, let alone proper indexing through out.
