Questions About Bluematter's (Closed) Adsense Niche Site Thread.

Hey BHW,

Over the past few days I have spent more than 4 hours per day just reading forums on BHW. I found one thread from about a year ago by Bluematter and I am finding it extremely interesting.

So far I am on page 10 (of 31) but I have a few (possibly extremely noobie) questions that nobody seems to have asked in the thread back when it was open. Firstly, Bluematter said that his website would have about 80 articles, and that he would post 1-2 a day. Approximately how long does it take before those articles will start getting views? Obviously it depends on the niche and competition as to how many views the pages will get, but I feel like If I did this, none of my articles would get any views. Also, each article would add to the sites credibility, and some of those views would trickle down to the first few articles he posted. Would you have to post all 80 articles before you start getting views, or just more like 40, or 20, or even just 10?


Secondly, I saw a comment that said:

"How many article have i want to add in my niche website before using adsense in it."

to which Bluematter responded by saying:

"I think when It starts getting 30 to 40 visitors than add the code, its your choice."

Does he mean 30-40 visitors total on the website or 30-40 views total on each article? Furthermore, I always just assumed that it would be a good idea to throw in the AdSense code the second that I made the site. Why is it better to wait until you have 30-40 visitors to add the code? Aren't you just losing potential money by not putting ads up immediately?

For the second question - You will receive more visitors without ads and Google loves websites without ads.
And it is 30/40 visitors/day/article.

That makes perfect sense about Google preferring sites without ads!

I feel like a complete idiot for saying this, but what do you mean "How long is a string?"
