Hello everyone!

So, I do have a laptop without system, and I'd like to install windows 10 there.
I've been reading that you can purchase windows 10 keys for very cheap as $6, but then I saw multiple threads where people were suggesting that you can install W10 for free.

So, I'm a bit confused.
Do I have to purchase the windows 10 key or is there any legit way to install W10 without any fee?
(I don't mind purchasing the key).

Once again to sum it up:
My notebook - without system (used to have W7 (I don't have the key anymore) → W10 (free update via microsoft)→ then it broke and I had to remove the system)

Thanks in advance,
Filipo

it's free for a certain time period then you'll get the "windows is not activated" message. just buy a cheap license on ebay or someplace like that.

It's free for 30 days. After that, you can extend that "trial" period for 3 more months by using the command "slmgr -rearm" in cmd.

I will suggest checking the marketplace and getting one window 10 pro key, or on eBay.

im suing g2deal.com to buy whenever i need to format a friend's PC , but you need to install the correct edition of the windows 10 .For example
https://www.g2deal.com/windows-10-professional-32-64-bit.html

or rakuten 10 euros for example
https://www.rakuten.de/produkt/microsoft-windows-10-professional-3264bit-lizenzschluessel-code-1644759470?cid=affilinet&sclid=af_affilinet_320917-785853063415202048&affmt=0&affmn=0&awc=15108_1575896371_ada8dc43c842fde7cfcdf9ea766e40f0

i wont suggest ebay :) its full of resellers there :) I personally sell on ebay.at for 15 euros, the Paysafe card that costs 10 in the store

You can get it for *free* free. It's obviously "illegal" though, so I'm not going to share anything that might break the rules.

Hint : Find it yourself on the MDL forums.

*UPDATE*

I've installed the new windows to the flashdisk not in to pc xD

How do I install it into my PC?

Is it possible somehow, open the windows on flashdisk & copy the files to pc?

*Edit*
Whenever I turn on the notebook without the flashdisk it says, there is no system. But when I turn on the notebook with flashdisk, Windows 10 starts.

When I've tried to remove the flashdisk (after w10 has loaded) the pc has freezed. So, I've inputed the flashdisk again, and everything runs.

But the problem is that the w10 is installed on the flashdisk not in the notebook.

boot into flashdisk and run the installation wizard on C: ? just like you installed it on the drive, do it again. it's basic level tech-related work, are you sure you had to make a post here about it? :P

Download https://rufus.ie/de_DE.html this software called rufus .Install again windows on your flash drive using this program ( u will create a bootable USB )
https://imgur.com/a/Ntge4bf?
Ntge4bf

after that , enter BIOS change boot priority to USB 1st , than u should be able to install a new copy of windows on your machine

download and install it dirctly from MSFT

Its free to use forever. You will just get a watermark at bottom right corner of screen. And you won't be able to change theme. That's it, all other functions will be same as activated windows 10

*UPDATE*

Alright, I've downloaded the windows 10 on flashdisk, from which I would like to install the system to notebook.
Nevertheless, it seems the notebook can't work with itselfs memory (for some reason).

Also, it shows only one disk of two on the laptop (or at least fo some reason this one is very low 266,1GB)

It says it belongs to MBR, and in systems EFI You can only install the windows on GPT

So I'm bit confused. Has anyone solution?

Thanks in advance,
Filipo

you either have UEFI system and installed previous windows 7 in MBR system (i am sure this is the case as windows 7 doesn't natively support GPT. In that case you have to either delete all partitions from hard drive and format all data and create new partitions with GPT or you can boot windows 10 in MBR mode by disabling UEFI boot in BIOS. But disabling UEFI limits your hard drives to 2TB. If you have more than 2TB storage then go to an expert as you might lose all data just by corrupting one partition

I've tried to upload the install W10 files to different flashdisk. But when I open the install program on the notebook, no storage shows up.
(I've tried the CMD thing - lis disk, etc. still nothing).

So, I've been googling & youtubing a lot of people shows that you have to download some kind of driver that can find the storages in the pc/notebook.
So, I've done that, nevertheless it didn't help me as the storages still can't be found in the laptop (I've tried the Intels Rapid Storage).

The notebook is:
Asus model K55v 64 bit - Intel i5 + Nvdia & 8gb ram.
The storage was around 700gb (I'm not sure right now).

I've already deleted all the files, so I don't care if there will be any solution that will need to delete everything.

Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks everyone (that has already mentioned their advices)!

you would have a better chance on a tech subreddit like reddit.com/r/linustechtips
