Hopefully, someone who did this can answer.

I have a few subs on my radar that I want to take ownership of as the mods are inactive but can't find any info about this:
Is it possible to take over a subreddit that has a few mods? How would that work? Would reddit remove all of them and make my acc the main mod? Is it even possible?

As I see people requesting only ownership of taking over subs that have only one mod.

Any help is appreciated.

If the mods are inactive you cant take it over.
You need to post in Reddit request explaining that the sub is inactive and you want to bring it back to life.

Reddit’s process typically only allows for requests if all listed mods are inactive (no activity in 60+ days). If even one mod is active, your request might be denied.

You can submit a request through r/redditrequest and explain the inactivity of the mod team. If approved, Reddit might remove all mods and add you, but this depends on their review. Persistence and a strong case in your request are key.
