Hello BHW!

I heard that there are some configuration can be set in wordpress hosting or server that allow googlebot to crawl our sites more easily and frequently, and ultimately makes our website more easily to rank up on SERP.

and this kind of server configuration is what those hosting service providers (like bluehost) not provided, because their settings are more focused on web security and privacy.

I am not sure is it true or not, anyone know this? Is it related to file permission in Cpanel or these are any wordpress web hosting provider that allow us to customise our web hosting configuration?

Thank you!

There are Managed Wordpress hostings or specialized Wordpress hosts (like Kinsta and Wp Engine) who provide fast and secure hostings for wordpresss. They are way too costlier than regular shared hosts.

While this is true that your site will be fast and secure with them, but I do not think that you need them ONLY because, many useful settings like CDN, server side cache, gzip or brotli compression, etc. can be implemented by a regular host too.

So instead, I will suggest you to focus on other SEO aspects like link building, social shares, interlinking, etc. to get your site crawled often.

Yes, it is true that there are some server-level configurations that can help Googlebot crawl your website more easily and frequently, which can improve your website's ranking on SERP (Search Engine Results Page).

Here are some server-level configurations that can help with this:

  • Use a fast and reliable web hosting: Googlebot prefers to crawl websites that load quickly and have a high uptime. So, it's important to choose a fast and reliable web hosting service for your website.
  • Enable gzip compression: Enabling gzip compression on your web server can help reduce the file size of your website's content, making it easier and faster for Googlebot to crawl.
  • Use a CDN (Content Delivery Network): A CDN can help distribute your website's content across multiple servers, which can improve the speed and reliability of your website's delivery to Googlebot.
  • Enable caching: Caching can help improve your website's speed by storing frequently accessed data on the server or user's device. This can help reduce the load on your web server and make it easier for Googlebot to crawl your website.
  • Use a sitemap: A sitemap is a file that provides Googlebot with a list of all the pages on your website. This can help Googlebot discover new pages and crawl your website more efficiently.

By implementing these server-level configurations, you can make it easier and more efficient for Googlebot to crawl your website, which can ultimately help improve your website's ranking on SERP.

Actually if your web hosting company's web server is litespeed with their special cache plugin for wordpress, it can make a good difference as it can get your website to speed up very fast, that can help google crawling through it faster and liking it, same if they are using nginx with reverse proxy it can make a difference as compared to the default apache web server configuration.

Probably dedicated WordPress hosting which costs 3X
It's better to get an aged domain

So many thousands of horror stories, nightmare like hell you find from people who had experience with godaddy hosting.
This will scary you up like a horror movie...

But till today in 2023 enough people every day around the globe buying hosting services from them?
This is crazy it's not logical.

Happy weekend !

News form my exist godaddy acoount today, I'm logged in to remove my domain (1 year old) so I will not buying products form them anymore.
Then whammm! A big header banner apperas: "your domain renewal expires in 23 day please extend it for $39.98, what scumbags they are!

Normal com domain price renewal on godaddy is $20 and not 39,98€ (I live in germany) they are big scammers, this is criminal....
it's a short 5 letter domain name: marksters, a piece of my name markus and a piece of marketers= marksters....

or should I better transfer that domain to namecheap then try to sell it on an auction fopr 499 or something? Godaddy calculator shows me this domain is worth to buy for $1099, I be sure when I remove this domain from godaddy they will claim it as their own and selling it for premium price.
I have created 3 new domain names 3 months ago.......

Webhosting :namesilo a domain registrar offers good fair price hosting and ssl certs, can not say if they are a good hosting company, but so far on my web researching big companies have namesilo as their webhosting.

Yes, it is possible to configure a Wordpress web hosting/server in a way that is SEO friendly. It is important to ensure that the server is properly configured and optimized for better performance, as well as to leverage SEO-friendly features such as caching and server-side optimization. Additionally, the use of SEO-friendly themes, plugins, and other tools can help to ensure that the website is optimized for search engine visibility.
