[QUESTION] Regarding Tumblr and EDU Blogs

I got some high PR tumblrs and edu blogs few weeks ago and just decided to start using them for manual link building. I just have two question:

1)when creating Post on tumblr/edu blogs for backlinking purpose how much words should we have? Does it have to be a full 500 words articles? Someone should do a test and see if its possible to rank just using paragraphs and sentences. Thanks in advance for yor answer. I just want to benefit the most from each of these post.

I'm a noob when it comes to SEO but I've been reading and implementing some of the methods recently shared, but since I dont have gsa etc I want to start doing manual backlinks while the services that ordered are been deliver. So here is question 2:

2) what is a safe number of manual backlinks per day? What I have in mind is 2.0,videos,edu, and pdf,audio and images backlinks. Also can I build all these links targetting only one anchor text or should I mix it up?, to make it simple for myself, for each 10 backlinks how many should have my exact keyword?

1. I use images for Tumblr. For Edu Blogs I range between 300 and 2000 words. I use Article Hunter for my Articles now (Or rather, my VA does) but when I do it I outsource articles at 300 + words. I shoot for to cover a topic well enough and I add fluff when placing my link so it fits well. I keep things random to make my life easier A bunch of 500 word links pointing to your site is suspicious in my opinion.

The reason I use images for Tumblr is that is how the users of Tumblr use it. Most people share and post images, so that is what I do. I add a link in the description.

2. In my opinion, not based on fact but my opinion, I do not think you can build enough manual links in a day to look like spam.

Even when I churn out Web 2.0s I still only get a dozen or so done when editing and spinning content.

I do suggest you mix up anchors. A large variety of partial match, lsi, exact match, long tail, naked and bran URLs to avoid any penalties.
