Question About Wordpress Sitemap Serios Issue

Hello guys,
Today i need to know something abut Sitemap, i hope you guys will help me.

1. First i need to know why my google webmaster tool always showing sitemap pending status. When i re-submit it, It will show indexed pages but after 3-4 days it will again go to pending status. why its happening.

2. Do i need to submit my sub-sitemap to webmaster tool.

Thanks in advance. Curious to know why it happens.

In my experiences it only says Pending for a few minutes right after I re-submit the sitemap.

Have you tried creating your site map with a different plugin? Also, try disable any cache plugin just for testing purposes

It often happens to me but It's not a problem. It's depends on the number of urls in sitemap when google read all your pages then it will show the number. Yesterday I submit 2 different site maps for different sites.

Site 1: 7 Pages (No Issue, Appeared very after refresh)
Site 2: 1000+ Pages (It shows pending for 7 minutes after that it shows the exact number of urls)

Conclusion: Never Rely on GWT. Check it manually site:domain.com

"The index file, sitemap_index.xml, should be submitted to Google Webmaster Tools automatically if you have the ping setting for Google on."


So where should I activate the ping setting he's talking about? The Plugin setting page for the sitemap says that google get pingend automatically...
