I'm in the process of creating an adult directory website and want to accept payments by payment providers such as CCBill.

They mention that they don't support merchants based in New Zealand.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I checked with PaymentCloud support team around whether they'll accept my application if I were to setup an LLC in the US but they came back saying that it needs to be a US based business and with a US based signer

It is my understanding that both Visa and Mastercard require high-risk payment processors to only accept merchants based in countries they are registered in. I know there's a stipulation that allows U.S. processors to accept Canadian merchants, and vice versa. The same is likely true for Europe, as CCBill and a few others accept merchants from most countries there.

It might be a long shot depending on your niche, but I would try to see if there are any competitors based in New Zealand (assuming you're from there). Dig around and you'll eventually find the processor they're using.

Most of the competitors in this niche here are actually overseas companies.
The one getting most traffic around Auckland is registered in czech republic so maybe the owner is based there as well

I will suggest you to go with fiatfl, they are doing it without kyc and with no chargeback you can catch them on tlg: fiaaaiie

You can check about HK companies and apply for any merchant providers.

What is your niche?

I feel like most people in NZ have accounts under different jurisdictions to work around this, have you done any digging to see if that is the case?

You tried to apply as an individual or as a company?
