Question about old, currently unactive IG account

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker here.
I've got an IG account in a popular (but crowded) niche, with which I've dabbled in the past but with no real succes, max interaction was about 700 likes on one post, all the rest was 200-300 likes max- back when IG was still chronological

Back then I did follow/unfollow and got 7k followers, 2k following, interaction last time I tried some posts was close to zero and there's more than 2k posts on it in total (lol..)

I'm looking for advice if I should keep the account due to the age of it and if yes, should I do something specific like unfollow most of the ones i'm following etc?

The instagram from back in the days, is not the same anymore unfortunately. Every page is competing for users attention and all posts are getting more extreme.
Back in the days it was possible to grow an quote page easily.

My advice would be to keep trying, engage with your own followers manually or trough automation. Post reels and quality content.
There is no huge expense for running a second account, why bet on 1 horse. So start with that as well.
