Question about niche on Gifts Suggestions

Intending to create a website and posting articles on what gifts to buy for certain group of people etc.

Will be monetizing through clickbank and it's alternatives.

Problem/Doubts I'm having:

1. 'Gift for' is an extremely competitive term and many existing websites on the front page already have 5 digits backlinks to them.

Solution: Have searched some long tail keywords, so this is fine. But I still want my website to be a little bit more general, so does having articles with keyword like 'Gifts for disability people' and then another article on 'Gifts for polyglot' works? (just example topics I'm saying, I've not searched these 2 terms specifically on ahref)


2. Is it a problem if there are 'too many' different affiliate products?

Say per blog post, I'm throwing out 4 products as suggestions, maybe only 1 is affiliated on Amazon/clickbank. But utimately after weeks or months, my website will be full of different products.

It wouldn't be as effective as a website that specialise in a single niche, selling just 'pets diaper' and having only 3-5 clickbank links for different variety of pets diaper.

Am I doing this wrong?

I think your direction is OK. The most important thing is how to write your content and whether your page layout is comfortable.
You can follow this plan first,
After the data is generated, it will be optimized if there are any problems.
You can also post videos on TikTok to drive people to your website.

There is no problem if your website is filled up with a variety of different products. All you need to care about right now is how to increase the traffic.

As traffic increases, you can experiment with these things after some time.

I think you are not necessarily doing anything wrong here. but perhaps, could combine all the gift ideas into categories, and perhaps first focus on writing content on a single category of gift ideas, then move onto the other ones as you gain more traffic and topical authrity.

In the beginning focus one a few topics/category and increment topics over time

But I would analyze what competitors are doing.
Also if it's extremely competitive then I will pass on the niche, if I haven't worked on a competitive niche earlier.
