Question about meme site -worth it?

Hi guys,

I have recently and acciendaly (I won an auction, it was for like 1$) bought a domain that seems to have only one assignment in my language - fun meme site.
I have couple other projects, in my country there are already dozens of meme sites.
What I have thinking of: Maybe there is some script/software/macro setup witch will allow me to import memes from other sites and I will eventually decide - add them to my site or delete? I would jump in and create some new ones etc when the traffic would grow up, but
Is meme site+some affiliate program even worth bothering or it's more like dry well with little to none income?

It depends on what you want and how much effort you are willing to put in.

If you are serious about it, then with a monumental amount of effort and dedication, you can make it work. You'll just be competing with thousands if not hundreds of thousands of other sites.

And I highly doubt a significant amount of the people in your country with access to the internet, who are interested in Memes, will visit local sites. Unless you are focusing on local memes?

It is up to you and your dedication.

Remember, there are probably millions of shops that sell clothes across the world, and yet, every day, more and more people are opening clothing shops. Just as an example. Some will fail, some will succeed.
You never know until you try, but don't be half-assed about it.

I think with memes you will need good social media marketing, nowadays people check memes on instagram or facebook

It depends on the quality of your traffic especially the GEO that would determine how much you earn.

DO IT MEMES ARE GREEAT

Some people are earning money only with memes and with their own memes. Probably as long as the internet exists, memes always will be in our lives. Take advantage of that. There is no reason to stop yourself. Work on it, if it won't work than at least you will be able to say 'I tried and saw the results' Hesitating on something like this will only result on regret.
