Question about indexing. I'm stumped.

I've recently launched a site for my affiliate account. However I don't have computer access yet until my new hard drive arrives. I've submitted the site to atleast 5 search engines. Nothing is getting indexed. If someone could suggest what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks BTB, I've used both of the ones you've listed. I guess its a waiting game. I am continuing to add to it daily. All I can do is wait and see. Just the first time for me that it hasn't been indexed within 24 hours.

Getting a backlink from a website that is already indexed would help to speed things up. However, when I say "a backlink" I mean a backlink from a freshly published articles or something like that, not a profile link on some huge website.
