Question about dropshipping

Hello everyone,

I’ve been looking into dropshipping for a while now and have been reading a lot on the subject here on the forum (I don’t trust the blogs out there that try to sell you services).

I wanted to ask if this method is still worthwhile and profitable as today, a lot of the online consumers tend to make the majority of their purchases on Amazon?

Another question is, is the AliExpress dropshipping method worthwhile or should I look into other avenues like contacting brands, companies and suppliers/manufacturers directly to establish a dropahipping e-store?

Drop shipping will always work. Zappos even started off drop shipping over a decade ago!

Aliexpress is one way to drop ship, and there has been a lot of success from myself and others using them. However, once I found a product that people were buying multiple times over, I actually would bulk buy the product and have it sent to me so that I could have faster shipping. That is the only real down side of Aliexpress, is the shipping time. With today's "I want it now" mentality (Prime) it's a tough thing to tell a customer it will be 1-2 weeks before their order arrives. A lot of Aliexpress drop shipping sites hide the fact that this is happening, however my success has been adding a rather large (cannot be missed) shipping time details before checkout. I also make sure to explain why it is taking so long. An example would be something like "Because we can offer this at a lower price, the shipping time will be a little more than other websites but we guarantee the best price and well worth the wait".
