Question about backlinks.

Hey guys, I snooped around my competitors website and I saw that they have a ton of backlinks.

DR: 56
Backlinks: 8.0K (90% ********)
Linking websites: 879 (80% ********)

Using this information can someone help me understand his strategy. I know hes paying for backlinks, I just don't think he invested for 8,000 backlinks, because that would cost around 40000$ right? Or maybe I'm wrong. How does he have so many backlinks yet only 879. If I buy a backlink package from the Marketplace, does 1 post = multiple backlinks?

I'm confused please help.

Please look for refering domains, in most cases some spam websites give tons of backlinks.
 
Can anyone help me replicate their strategy..

No way would they pay for 8k backlinks.

To get the list of links actually powering the website, you need to filter the links according to location(content), type of website and content type. Then those links/sites are the ones they probably paid for assuming they pay for their links and not naturally/organically acquired.

The rest other links that bumped it all to 8k are usually automatically generated links, bot links and social or forum links.
 
Check their linking domains it's almost 879, not all linking domains will be paid backlinks. You have to check his RD quality and beat them with quality and in numbers of domains.
 
879 is the total number of referring domains and many domains may provide several backlinks from different pages resulting in thousands of backlinks.
 
8,000 is certainly a large number, but the quality matters more than quantity.
In most cases, one guest post on a website will create just one backlink from that site to your page. However, some platforms or packages might offer "link pyramids" or other schemes that generate multiple backlinks, but these are often low-quality and can actually harm your SEO.

backlinks are not important, Reffering domains are.

so check how many RD he have.


or if you are using ahrefs, then export backlink report with just one link per domain filter,
so you can get better idea that what type of links they have...

Backlinks from many sources or multiple link placements on specific websites could be the source of your competitor's backlinks. Building a solid backlink profile requires concentrating on content and ethical, high-quality SEO.
 
Your competitors back links has more referring domains that can be better or even worse if they are not relevant, never relay on quantity go for quality links that's relevant and exactly gets you organic traffic.
