(Query) IG Buying Followers - Avoiding attention from IG?

Hi there, this is my first proper post on the forum so please excuse if anything is incorrect/in the wrong place etc!

I've started experimenting with buying followers and likes today on one of my tester instagram accounts. I was wondering if anybody knows a ballpark figure for the maximum number of followers or likes you could buy per day without resulting in a ban from IG? Also has anyone built up pages primarily using cheap followers and engagement into a self-sufficient page - or do you think that this is unsustainable?

I've used a service from the marketplace and prices are pretty cheap so I'm hardly busting the bank - I've spent around $0.5 and have achieved what took me a couple of days organically (another account) in a matter of minutes/hours.

Would love to know anyone's thoughts anyway and thanks for answering!

You're fine. For example, anyone can purchase followers/likes for any account. Therefore IG can't ban someones account if that were to occur. If that were to happen, all you'd have to do to ban someone is buy and send a ton of followers/likes to their page.

Thanks man. Ok that's interesting, I take it the only downside is when these accounts are purged your follower count could drop significantly if you have relied primarily on bought followers? I am just apprehensive about buying 1000's of followers in bulk for an account that has been dormant for a while is all, but will experiment over the next few days.

Yeah, downside is followers being purged eventually and a lopsided engagement rate due to fake followers. I recommend buying 1-5k followers at the very beginning to build a new account and entice followback rate. But other than that, I don't really recommend constantly building up an account like that, but it's definitely beneficial getting accounts going.
