Quality or Quantity? Which Do You Prefer?

I'm thinking about offering free SEO services (for one month) really soon and trying to get an idea of what type of packages people are interested in?


I personally believe that with the new Google algorithm changes quality is definitely more ideal than quantity. Unfortunately it seems people still buy and do lots of link blasts to various sites with various PR ranking.


What I'm thinking of doing is offering SEO services with a focus more on quality, so instead of doing 10,000 link blasts, focus on building links on maybe 100 to a few hundred sites.


What do you all think?

Quality is always better than Quantity. I love using quality services than quantity services.
 
Quality. And I'm not just trying to sound like a repetitive tool bag.
 
It really depends on want you are trying to do.

If you are trying to rank for keywords, then yes, quality all the way.

If you a large link profile and you are trying to diversify your anchor text, then, I would use quantity. You have to use the links the right way for the maximum results.
 
100% Quality. I mean, would you rather want 10 PR-5 blog posts with low obls that are do follow or 2000 no follow PR-2s? Easy answer.

Exactly, you'd think it's common sense, but there are many folks out there that have the mentality that simply more is better.... guess that's the result of our overly consumptive western society.
 
Go for quality since what's the sense of having 1000s of links if it will get deleted because it doesn't have any quality

I'm looking to help folks rank for specific keywords.

Makes sense, but one question, don't the search engines know when your using automated tools and doing it manually? Seems nowadays Google is pushing for people to be completely organic in their SEO efforts.... (or at least appear that way).

Google doesn't magically know whether you are doing something automatically or manually.

They can tell when you do things that most other people automating stuff do.

So instead of hitting every AA blog, pligg site, forum profile, wiki, low quality blog network, I find ways to automate high quality content creation, whitehat web 2.0 creation, or high quality blog networks that don't have footprints.
 
Quality + Quantity.

You can't survive with just 1 PR7 backlink nowadays.
 
I choose quality it will make you look better and in the long run it will do better
 
Quality with enouigh qunatity to be effective.
In these days when every internal URL needs to be backlinked then offering services that point to just one URL for hundreds of dollars has limited value.
I would say quality all the way - with the caveat that you need to spread your links out throughout a site, spread your anchor texts and spread the platforms used.

Too many quality services seem to limit these elements. "Please send one URL plus 3 keywords"....

That's no good - no good at all.
Same number of links but spread over say 10 URL's with the specific keywords mixed in with generic and bare HTML anchors.
