What to make of this?
Qi Gong is very real. I just found this one. Obviously its legit.
Before this becomes a 500 posts lovers/haters thread, let me point out that Qi Gong was originally used for healing not fighting.
have some fun:
Qi Gong Documentary:
Qi Gong has been around for centuries, and Tai Chi started from this martial art, although most people who practice it use it for good health. It can basically heal any illness or injury. It is good for energy
British version of 'Chi'
I think its pretty legit, something i'd like to learn if i find more time
To tell you the truth, I read the Wikipedia entry and I'm not sure if all these are real:
and bear in mind he is 90
These are just stunts when it comes to "physical mastering pain and stuff", national geographic and all US based science programs (like in OP video) which are low-budget are extremely far away from truth.
They say it's lethal to gain ~450pounds force to your stomach.... why have i seen people getting way worse hits and they are totally fine? These documentaries doesnt think about real life when they come up with explanations....
For example human body is fluid based, what happens when you hit water? does it shatter? does it transfer that energy forward? By first video, they say your organs will erupt from the hit, well not... energy will get forwarder through body to opposite side if person is in relaxed state.
Sorry i'm raging here as all this stuff seems very logic to me, peace out i'm off to bed.
PS. i like taichi, i know how to do 12-part set and it's great exercise, it doesnt bulk you up but it's doing the same as yoga, making your fluids go faster and your will output alot of excess water from your body.
Why dont they do a real test and shoot him with this?
Its bullshit ofc... lol
He is allergic to gun powder.
Qi Gong is somewhat mystical and its benefits can only be
verified by those who have actually practiced it.
I used to do Tai Chi as a form of exercise and it is great for mind, body spirit.
Tai Chi was basically the precursor to what we know today as the martial arts.
No offence, but regular exercise might do the same thing.
I never said it couldn't.
I bought a book about Tai Chi, I haz no powers.
Not all martial arts comes from the east, there are alot of western martial such as boxing and wrestling that do not descend from tai chi.
Lol are you stupid? I hope you don't mean the US by "western martial arts".
I meant Europe,I dont know of any martial arts developed in America without eastern influences.
