[Q] What's the best tracker for website ?

Hi guys,
Happy New Year to all of you

So I'm building my first new site and I want to install a tracker to track the traffic.
What are some free ones and best ones to use ?

I know there is Google analytics but idk if that reports daily clicks and everything ?

What's your suggestions ?

I think Google Analytics is the most advanced and it's free. I used Piwik (free version of Matomo) but you need your own server for that and it's not a big improvement over google analytics. In my opinion for a free version Google Analytics is the most complete option.
 
I also highly vouch for Google Analytics there are more versions, but for me Analytics goes well.
 
If you don't like google sniffing around your arse, use stat counter, it has a better interface for many sites.

And also the free ahrefs now.
 
So with google analytics I can see reports daily and everything ?
I want to track the homepage mostly which will be the landing page so I should go with google analytics ?
 
If you use WordPress there's site kite by Google plugin for free.
I personally use it and find it to be very useful.
It got everything, analytics, search console etc.
