I have become quite well versed in python and just curious if anyone could point me in some reputable places to sell scripts, find work etc.

Possibly any advice about protecting my work? Anybody suggest how to protect your work properly?

Why not make a bot buy the jr vip and sell it here and want to hire section is great place for some easy $ im intrested in the code protection as im learning python too

Codecanyon is a good one. BHW marketplace is a good one, if you want to make programs related to IM. As for protecting the code, I don't think you have too many options in python; other than obfuscating your code or making a SAaS platform instead of giving the code away.
