I am putting together a small team of people who would like to work together on a money making project.

I have an offline business with two partners and 5 employees which is growing quite quickly. I am looking to create an online business with partners that will also be able to grow quickly.

What I am looking for: people who have demonstrated an ability to make something successful online: marketing, cpa, membership sites, content, seo, website design, mobile website design, or other area.

How team will operate: using Basecamp as the team room. The people who are in the team sign a contract which outline shares in venture, responsibilities, and terms of operation.

Once the small team is put together, we will devise a very small test project to see if it is successful. If it is successful we will iterate and scale.

I will put in any finances needed for the project.

Interested yet? PM me your skill details.

On that last note, just to clarify so there is no misunderstanding, this will be a bootstrapped project, people paid from profits generated. Distribution of profits agreed upon before project start.

Perhaps if you outlined what you bring to the team, apart from a few dollars. which any guy you want in your team will have already made enough to buy these things himself

-nanavlad- I am simply putting together a project and business team. I add a business dimension to online skills. People bring skills, I bring a business perspective. I am a person who is constantly looking to grow and improve. I ask how can this be done better, how can we increase our revenue, increase our profit, and structure deals. This may seem simple, but it is not commonly the way businesses are run.

You are right, anyone I would want should have the money to buy those things.

-randyya- It depends on who joins, what their success has been in, and what parts of their success are scalable. I have some of my own ideas as well.

Basically, my first preference is to do something that someone has already had some level of success with. That is how I started my offline business and it is a model that I have found to be successful. I think it is a good way to start.

--I haven't responded to any PM's yet, so if I haven't responded it isn't because I am not interested. I am just reading responses and thinking things through.

I agree much with nanavlad. You say the kinds of people you would want should already have made enough money to buy the things he needs. Reiterating what nanavlad said, what exactly do you bring to the table?

Business sense is not a good enough answer for me. Any IM'er worth what he has made has enough business sense to be successful on his own. Why would he want to divulge his secrets, to make a CUT of the profits, when he's already taking it all home.

This sounds a lot like you gather a group of guys, who all tell you what they do to be successful, and the team implements all of these together for a share of the profits. Wouldn't they be more successful on their own?

This sounds like they have a lot to lose, giving up their secrets, while you have all to gain (minus petty startup costs)

I personally find the profit margin too small here, with too much to risk. People work hard to find what works for them, and when they do, they reap 100% of the profits. You are asking them not only to share their methods, but their invaluable expertise.

It all just doesn't make sense to me, and for those reasons, I'm out.

Sounds as if they have brought an idea which has NO value to the "Shark Tank" and for that reason, I'm out!
