hi all!

i’m trying to promote a saas product via comments in old threads. posting the comments (even with a link) isn’t a problem, they don’t get removed. i can also get the upvotes boosted formally (via panel) but the comment still don’t rise in rank, sticking to the thread bottom.

i found a threads on this topic, but it looks like no one has solved it (or at least nobody’s shared the fix):

has anyone here run into this? how did you get around it? i'd be grateful for any help!

Try replying to the top commenters with a useful add-on, their notifications often drag real upvotes to your post

thanks for replying! yeah, that's an awesome shortcut i'm already testing. but i guess i would need some upvote manipulations anyway. i'm thinking of manual upvoting, but it seems like... way too much of pain in the ass to be worth it...

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same. On old threads, even with upvotes, comments don’t always move up. Seems like Reddit’s algo gives more weight to fresh activity rather than just votes.
