Wow past opens a lot of secrets. Nowadays try searching for a high value query and you will be bombared with 10s of paid ads.
 
If this were a movie... this would be the part where they would tell Google that anything you say could be used against you in court :D

This is a strategy many company used first they release a service/product free or very cheap then increase the price to make profit once they are widely used and have already a reputation

This is a good SAAS marketing mode. Still strong and relatable now.
 
It was probably written in the year 1999 or 2000. Lots have changed.

I will be willing to sponsor the latest edition of the book, particularly that page... Google is such a nightmare.. lol
