First of all - holy shit.

Honestly, the pilot in command wasn't doing much from what I could tell. He was basically just holding his speed, by keeping a nose down attitude. Although you may think they were loosing altitude because of the attitude, they weren't. Altitude is determined by RPM. Speed is determined by pitch. He was probably just focused on the fact that if he slowed down, there's a possibility of contact with the propeller.

Maintaining speed is not hard after practice, all pilots do it during take off and landing - they follow the speed recommended in the manual for the individual aircraft. So I'd say 2 - very easy. However, doing it under this kind of pressure, 10 lol.
