Which one is a safer, cleaner choice:
Public free proxy
Free vpn

We know that vpn ips are usually known and flagged, but still vpn works. How about public proxy? Is it more dangerous than vpn?

Both free proxies and free VPNs have their own pros and cons – neither is perfect, but they are generally cleaner.

none if you're talking about safety lol
just because you can connect to it & it works
doesn't make it safe.
and safe could mean totally differnet things
safe to use to create accounts
safe for personal data
etc...

If you are talking about account creation (on Reddit, FB, PayPal or whatever) or managing accounts, both are not reliable options
I think that is an issue if we create multiple accounts.
As long as we do one account per device, a vpn does the job.

It's risky, your free VPN could be related to a previously banned account
I would stick with a paid proxy
But if it's working for you and you don't have the budget to spend in multiple paid proxies, go for it

i provided scanned / scraped / port scanned public
proxies for scrapers from 2002-20 trust me thats
about all they where ever good for and that time
has also come and gone .
But free/premium vpns are also publicly used for anything and people still use them for their legit accounts. Are those public proxies even worse than vpn ips?

Both have risks, they might even steal your personal data. If security and reliability are a priority, a paid VPN or private proxy is a better choice.

Public free proxies and free VPNs are generally not safe or clean options. You should choose a reliable proxy or VPN instead.

Even premium vpns have the issue as free ones, their ips are used by millions.

Neither, don't use them if you want a clean IP. You'll need to purchase a proxy for that

There’s no such thing as a "cleaner" free proxy. Since free proxies are used by many people, you have no way of knowing what tasks those IPs have been involved in. In fact, most of these IPs are already blacklisted by major platforms.
If you're just browsing casually, a free proxy might be fine. But for anything important, I highly recommend investing in a high-quality proxy or VPN - free options simply aren’t reliable for serious tasks.

Public proxies are generally riskier than free VPNs — they’re often poorly maintained, can log or steal your data, and are frequently used for shady stuff, meaning they’re usually blacklisted fast. If you have to choose, a reputable free VPN is usually the safer option. But ideally, go with a paid, trusted service for either.

Public proxies are riskier, they’re often shared, unencrypted, and can expose your data to unknown operators.
