Proxy VS VPN

Cant really recommend you one without knowing what do you intend to do with them. Let us know your purpose for using them so you can be guided accordingly.

Its depends for what purpose you're using it. if you want to work on craigslist then everyone knows VPN can be used for that. for that you need a Proxy.

It can be used for Cr ai gs list or it can't?

Are proxies or VPNs like HMA better?
depend on what type of proxy u use...if you have good elite proxy especially sock type, i think i'll choose proxy better than vpn ..based on what you gonna use that proxy/vpn ...security,speed..etc

VPN is far better in almost all cases. The only benefits of proxies is that they're generally cheaper, and therefore you can have a much larger variety of proxies to switch between.

It depends on what you try to do:
Proxies have a diverse range of ips and can be used to change the ip when you're browsing or using a certain program. They're rather insecure and slow.
The VPN on the other site is usually fast and secure depending on the provider but it changes the IP of everything you do with your computer so if you do skype it will also go through that vpn.

So in my opinion: Automation -> use Proxies, Personal browsing -> use VPN.

Greetings

Proxies and VPNs serve different purposes.

With proxies, you can operate multi-thread applications. You cannot do such with a VPN, not that I'm aware of. With VPNs, you only have access to "1" IP address at a time. Which means you cannot use VPNs with many of the critical IM tools.

With VPNs, essentially, you are sharing IP addresses with who knows how many other users.

With proxies, you can get private proxies that only you are using.

Comparing the two is like comparing a 18 wheeler tractor trailer to a motorcycle. They both are modes of transportation and that's where the similarities end.

I appreciate all the answers but this is the best by far.

VPN is far too better than proxies. and HMA has been working really good i have been using it works really well with me.

What about for scraping or mailing or running bots like Xgram bot and such?

If you need access to specific websites, I'd recommend private proxies, as VPNs usually share IP addresses among users. But if you just need general anonymity protection, VPNs should work fine.

HMA Vpn is better than premium proxies...and yes its depend on your work....

I prefer VPNs as well, but I use proxies for certain software. HMA is good, I used them but they're IPs are spammed to shit. I now use Private Internet Access - cheaper than HMA but much less # of proxy locations.

I vote for VPN for personal, more important matters, and proxies for the black hat stuff.
