Simply put, paying for a mobile data plan costs more than paying for home Wi-Fi. So, if the proxy IP is clean, both mobile and residential proxies can work just fine. You should also think about costs when running a TikTok farm. Once you’re farming at scale, you’ll need a large number of proxies, and from a cost perspective, residential proxies usually make more sense than mobile ones.

The proxy question is secondary to device fingerprint tbh. TikTok links accounts by device ID + IP + behavior as a cluster. Perfect mobile proxies won't save you if two accounts share the same Android fingerprint. 1:1 proxy AND 1:1 device identity is the real rule. Accounts that survive 3+ months are isolated at both levels.

For data usage, around 20–50GB/month is enough for most small TikTok setups unless you’re uploading tons of videos every day.
