I came across a blog post regarding the necessity of using proxies for SEO tasks. It wasn't very explanatory though and I only have very feeble knowledge regarding SEO so what aspects do need proxies?

SEO so what aspects do need proxies?

In general terms, you need proxies when you want to do multiple tasks on the same domain.

Regardless if these tasks are automated or manual, you need proxies to divert your requests through multiple IP addresses and avoid getting blocked/throttled.

SEO proxies is one of the most common uses out there, along with sneaker copping, web scraping and market researching. To be more concrete, SEO proxies can help you with:
1. Rank tracking
2. Keyword research
3. Analysing competitors
4. Site auditing
5...

Don't forget that they can help you with both Blackhat and Whitehat, so either one you choose to do, you will benefit from using proxies.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a massive industry, driving most online businesses. Why you need them for SEO? Well, you can research competitors through an SEO proxy service, you can scrape SEO data, etc. The thing why you need proxies is that most of the SEO tasks are completed with automatic tools sending requests over and over again. When you do that with 1 IP address it gets detected very easily and it ends in the IP being blocked. When you use proxies, you can avoid that since you will be constantly provided with the new IP (when you use rotating proxies) so it not only will be difficult to detect you but also you will avoid IP bans. There are several great proxy providers for SEO, I would recommend Smartproxy or GeoSurf in this case.
