i'm looking for proxies for RankerX. Excuse my lack of knowledge, i don't know much about proxies so some advice would be appreciated.

What would the cheapest way to get an optimum amount of proxies which can be used?
Are shared proxies suitable?

I purchased some proxies off of RSock yesterday, assumed they would come in a list format but it provided one with a port number. Requested a refund as believe its wrong.

Thanks

Most proxies come in the format of IP:Port so it would look like 101.101.101.101:80, this is what it looks like when you have IP authentication or public proxies. If you have username, password authentication a proxy could look like 101.101.101.101:80:Username:Password .

For linkbuilding SEO tools usually shared proxies are sufficient.

If you're using a service that rotates proxies they will give usually give you one IP (or a very small quantity) and that rotates (between the thousands of proxies they have). For some programs you just copy and paste that same IP a whole bunch of times to get it to work at it's full potential.

Use stormproxies you can get a new IP address every 15 minutes so you can create a lot of accounts

Thanks, so just to clarify, if i received theIP : 101:101:101:101:80
but it says on e.g. stormproxies that there are 70,000 rotating proxies, i'd just copy the 101:101:101:101:80 in the proxy section of RankerX and copy and paste it so it was repeated 100 times?

I'm not sure specifically about RankerX but that's what I do for most programs.

You offer a lot of good help in various places on BHW... quite commendable.
