Proxies for Instagram

Sorry I know it has probably been asked like a million times that what proxies should I buy for Instagram.

So my question here is instead is there a proxy that I definitely should not buy? Why?
Also how do you know if a proxy is good? Is the only way to just try and either fail or succeed with it?
