Protein on Amazon USA

Don't know if this will help, but I'm on the huel, which is a complete nutrition shake, not just protein, although each shake portion you have, has 60% protein in it, and stuffed full of loads of other goodies. They come in about 8 different flavours, and you can replace your meals with them easily. I take powdered vitamins too to make sure I get 100% of everything for the day. I been on the shakes for about 4 weeks, and I feel great. I use them to lose weight atm, but if you want to put on weight, you could mix it with something that the others suggest to help bulk you a bit.

OK, I know there are a bunch of you that are into taking care of your bodies and many of you are into supplements and such.

One of my doctors suggested that I find a protein product that I can stand for a minor issue I am having so I'm asking for suggestions, ideas, thoughts, and whatever else you can offer an idiot in that space.

I do not mind paying for a premium product as long as it does what it should do.

I'm no kid, I'm in my mid 60's so I do not know if that comes into play in that area so those of you that are knowledgeable have that tiny bit of information.

I would prefer a powder that can be mixed with almost anything other than milk (almond milk and other alternatives are fine) and I don't care if it tastes like rancid dragon meat that is 6,000 years old or tastes like something from a 3 Stared Michelon restaurant. The goal is to put on some weight using a product, or products, that will help me achieve that.

I could go to a musclehead forum, read, get ideas, and then take action but that would have me trusting people I do not know and I know a lot of you from my years as a member on the forum as well as having the opportunity to serve as a moderator here.

So, if you have that knowledge, and do not mind helping a brother out, I'm all ears and appreciate any input you may offer as to what makes sense to use that is sold on Amazon.

Check with your doctor of course, but there is this one:

5LB 100% Pea Protein Powder from North American Farms - Vegan Pea Protein Isolate - Plant Protein Powder, Easy to Digest - Speeds Muscle Recovery

Basically, pea protein.

You can gain weight using it.

It tastes like....umm....nothing, so you can add whatever you want with it and then blend it using a blender or manually.

If you end up buying it, best tip is to close the container as soon as you have used it.

Good luck man. Stay healthy so that we can fight each other someday. :)

I've bought Huel before. It's a bit pricey, but the flavours are really good.

I have a recommendation: DIY Solylent

There are some meds I have to take that make it difficult to eat most days, among other issues. The only thing I've been able to tolerate is DIY Soylent. You can get the recipes from this website here: https://www.completefoods.co/

The main ingredient that I use is soy protein powder (here's the one I got on Amazon, just because you asked for a link). This is mixed in with ginger to help with the nausea, a little bit of sugar just to make it taste better, a little bit of oat powder for carbs, an oil for fats (canola oil works), and psyllium husk for fiber. There's some other stuff mixed in specifically for me, but that's just the base of it.

Good lord my man...that sounds fucking awful. Soy protein, oat powder, canola oil and psyllium husk? I hope you're drinking that because you don't have any options.

I don't understand if you need a protein powder to gain weight, or if you think you need a protein powder to gain weight.

If you already know for sure that a protein powder is what you need, there are "weight gainers" which are protein powder mixed with carbs and other things in ratios that are designed to help you gain weight. If you need a protein powder only, just pick an animal-based protein powder that has good reviews supporting whatever factors are important to you.

Don't drink plant-based protein powder if you need to gain weight. Most plant proteins are "incomplete" proteins, meaning they lack essential amino acids. They also are not as bioavailable as animal proteins.

If you are assuming you need protein powder to gain weight but it's not something you definitely need, there are other more effective, more fun ways to gain weight.

I know this is almost a year old, but for the sake of other people in a possibly similar situation:

So what did you end up buying?
