I'm building a little site about loans and head over to my CJ account and see what they have there.

I come across Prosper which is a fairly well known entity, apply and get accepted.

Cool, I say so I look at some of the links and see where they take the visitor. Typical landing page and they ask what kind of credit you have.

Scores that are 640 and above it asks you for personal information so you can get a quote. Any scores below 640 and it takes you to a different page where they offer you alternatives.

Funny thing is all the alternatives have Prosper's affiliate link in them. Slick move... you send them unqualified leads and they try and convert them with other programs that make Prosper money and you are out in the cold.

Makes me rethink my site idea some to offer alternatives to those with poor credit and perhaps pick up a few extra bucks.

Thanks for the idea, Prosper!

What kind of loans you are into. Payday loans or car loans.

Thanks for the idea BTB :). I'm sure I can use this technique in some of the campaigns I'm working on.

Good to know. I am approved for that program, but i have my little landing page on the back burner. Prosper has a nice payout...

I came across this awhile back as well. The AM didn't really want to discuss it.
Sending most of my loan traffic to Credit.com. They have the same $100/lead prosper offer, as well as many other alternatives.

Is cj really a decent way to monetize? I rarely hear about people using it. And all the possible clicks you are getting without making any money doesn't seem like it's worthwhile to me. Could be making guaranteed cash with those clicks.

It's worth while to the tune of close to 8K a month for me these days.
