I'm building a little site about loans and head over to my CJ account and see what they have there.
I come across Prosper which is a fairly well known entity, apply and get accepted.
Cool, I say so I look at some of the links and see where they take the visitor. Typical landing page and they ask what kind of credit you have.
Scores that are 640 and above it asks you for personal information so you can get a quote. Any scores below 640 and it takes you to a different page where they offer you alternatives.
Funny thing is all the alternatives have Prosper's affiliate link in them. Slick move... you send them unqualified leads and they try and convert them with other programs that make Prosper money and you are out in the cold.
Makes me rethink my site idea some to offer alternatives to those with poor credit and perhaps pick up a few extra bucks.
