Propping up PBN with links

Hi All,

I used to have a PBN of 500-600 domains around 2013-14 that I eventually never renewed (someone got some good expired domains ) due to other business interests and I'm not looking to get back in the action. Back then I achieved many #1 rankings for 10k/month + search terms by simply building web 2.0/blog comments to the pbns and passing on the link juice to my money sites.

Nowawads it seems expired domains go for crazy prices so I won't be solely relying on them, instead I'll be building some of the domains up from scratch and I was wondering if web 2.0/blog comments are still a good idea? Other options I'm thinking of using are cheaper pbns links to my pbns or cheap "guest posts" (probably also pbns).

how did you manage the content part of 500 domains?? Unless you are filthy rich that can't be done by everyone

Had a VA based in the Philippines that charged me around $2-3/500 words and on average I'd only post one article to each site every 2nd month.

I also had a piece of software to schedule posts to wordpress (about 80% of sites were WP), unfortunately I can't remember the name

Regarding "Unless you are filthy rich" I started with 10 blogs for lower comp keywords and built from there, honestly for SEO it was the best thing I ever used - better than angela/paul links and better than SAPE so if you're on the fence I'd say build one.

you can auto generate the content for PBNs, or "borrow" content from other sites and spin it etc. you don't have to hire people to write content.

I know that. But when you have money to renew 500 domains each year (that's 4-5k per year in domain renewals only) you don't compromise the quality of those sites using spun content. I have a feeling the guy / gal just had shit-ton of money

No problem, could you start by writing your own content then? Your English seems perfect. 5x 500 words should be easy enough to do in a day, and that's 1 month's worth for 5 domains based on what I used to post.

yeah my English is decent, but building phrases (especially on topics I don't care about) to convey the right ideas, in the right way is a struggle that you people (the native English speakers) will not be able to understand... probably

Besides, I hate writing altogether, and the fact that many times I write entire novels on this forum is due to the fact that I'm only having casual conversations (like this one), on topics that I usually know something about (SEO, or general topics like this one). If I were to write a 500 article from scratch (do research + put the article together to make sense and to be 100% unique) it would take me at least 5-6 hours, and the biggest problem is that after doing this once or twice I get mentally burnt out and won't want to hear about writing for the next month. Believe me, I have tried it several times in the last 5-6 years and it doesn't work. I know myself

Spamming brand new PBNs can work, but it's much less guaranteed to last,
It's not something to rely on with serious investments,
But, it could be much cheaper & effective for different set of projects

I think you are going to waste a lot of time to build things from scratch. suggest to check expired domains that @Nargil is providing in his BST. you getting few expired domains with good metrics, and ending up with faster revenue generation, will pay for itself.

Web 2.0s have been trash for me for a while now - don't do that.

I've actually bought a few domains from Nargil, he definitely has some good options there but I'm hoping to bring down the per domain cost with some of my own linking and also do a bit of more relevant anchor text linking.

I think I may settle on some cheaper PBNs, can't see any "risk" from doing that to my own PBN as long as I'm not linking from the same domain to a few of PBNs.

quality over quantity always wins my friend. @Nargil does not leave a lot of comments, but when he does, it is a must read. I suggest to look all of his latest comments outside of his BSTs. then you know what I mean.

Blog comments are not really worth it unless it's part of much bigger ranking idea or traffic idea.

Web 2.0 can work okay to good but takes a lot of effort to do things with them now normally.

You can get a good or okay expired domain through Scrapebox or other software if you want to make pbns again.

Guessing you already have okay to good money you could just buy a website making money from Empire Flippers or somewhere else maybe a good idea for you .

If you really want to start from Scratch maybe possible ways for you to do it.
