Not sure what the big deal is here. Matt is a person just like me and you he just has a job at google. An important job and a job that likes to piss off some people it seems but for a site of this magnitude and the topics it would make sense Matt browses here

Not this shit again... How many times does this need to be proven? Who cares if he looks at this forum. There are probably allot of well known figures in the industry that read it, its a good read. Without one of these posts every day, it would be even better.
 
There's a video of him at a recent presentation adressing a member who posted that they wanted to punch him in the head in that 'Google update just now?' Penguin 2.1 topic too lol.
Within his presentation is a screenshot of BHW member posting that, so ya it's been known for a while now.

The problem with people like Cutts browsing the forum is that it means people will not share good methods with the community. And on an unrelated note, leave Nigel Farage alone, I like our resident friendly troll :)
 
I'd be more surprised to find out he didn't read BHW

I think if you don't like it - you just don't read it. Please don't complicate your life very much. Like me, this is the first time I see Matt Cutts mentioned BHW forum like this and I find it interesting.
 
Of course he reads BHW, why wouldn't he? It's a great forum, he could learn a thing or two :)
 
Of course he reads at BHW... what do you think he does all night and then in the morning comes up with another version of a panda or penguin, or a puma, or a porcupine, or whatever...! Unless he learns at BHW University minutely, he can't modify his Google algos imho, though he does a very poor job of it -- see what happens in the mighty P-DL niche... Of course, I think, he needs to be here at night and read everything and then work hard in the day.
