Heres a little "case study" for you guys.

April 4th: I register 1 Exact match .TV domain and 1 exact match .info domain for a LOW competition KW. I just do a small xrumer blast, less than 1000 profiles.

Both sites have the same amount of content.

May 1st: The .TV website is ranked #5 in Yahoo and not ranked at all in Google. The .info site is #1 in Google and Yahoo.

The .TV site has a bunch of pages indexed in Google but not ranking at all.

Both sites had the same amount of backlinks indexed.

My conclusion: Google hates .TV domains.

bullshit :D
Google doesn't care about extension.

I agree.... google seems to only rank .com .net and .org - its rare to see other extensions on the front page of any search engine

anybody else have experience with .TV sites not ranking at all in Google?

Except for SaltyDroid.info I never saw a ranking .info also.

I've ranked .info domains for pretty low competition keywords before and I'm trying now for some gambling related terms which are a bit tougher.

Personally I think its a myth that .info domains don't rank well and the reason you don't see any ranking is because most IM'ers believe the myth and opt for other tld's.

It would be interesting to repeat OP's test using a .com and a .info using same content and exact same linking to see if there is any big difference in the ranking.
