Dear members,
There are so many bright minds here on BHW, that much we can all agree on. Let's create an internationally owned investment fund and start new projects as one big team! Each of us has their own expertise and we can use that to our advantage. For example, a lawyer will set up the new company, an accountant will take care of taxes, let's not forget that we are IM'ers. I have no doubt we can market the everliving out of this fund.
This is how the basic model works. We each invest $10 into a fund (if you can't afford it, then boost up your IM game, this is the bare minimum if this is going to work). Now here comes the difficult part "CONTROL". Of course I'm not going to ask you to just invest $10 into a given PayPal account, that would be silly and you don't know me and therefore don't trust me, that's fine.
I'm opening this thread as a sort of brainstorming session to discuss ways we can make this work. How can we control funds from different corners of the globe in a way where everyone is comfortable donating the $10 and at the same time feel secure that no single person can run away with the money. I've had this discussion with several "financial specialists" and they've come back to me with a bloody encyclopedia of jargon which I'm not interested in.
Consider the following:
The possibilities are really endless. Now imagine if we each told 10 of our friends (non-BHW members) about this project? Multiply our initial seed capital X amount of times...That is A LOT of money for us to build something awesome! Imagine if we made this project a secret. We market it as a secret project by the members of BHW. We give it an extremely generic name like "fund 22". If anyone asks us about it, we say "no comment" (which means yes). The outsiders will be begging to join in. We will surely gain crazy buzz on the interwebz because of this and therefore a new channel of investors in our company.
Let's brainstorm and see what we can do!
Thanks for your time.

Consider the following:
- $10 x No. of BHW members (or those who can afford to invest $10) that is huge seed capital
- We can invest this seed capital in a philanthropic venture (should we need to boost our karmic bank accounts)
- We can invest this seed capital to help start-ups and gain in returns
- We can buy an island (like a real one)
- We can build a green resort
- We can build a private club (real estate is always yummy)
- We can always just invest in other massive companies and rake in the rewards
