Programmer that doesn't know where to start

Tgart, have you tried mobile marketing? I'm guessing you are already a senior programmer. Why don't you develop a game/productivity app in iOS and/or android.

HA the problem I always run into is when I think of an app to sell, I go onto the market and do a search and theres already 50 apps that do the same thing. And all my original ideas have too high of a development cost (AKA too much stuff I can't do myself)

I'm sure that there is no a crack that exists. Someone can simply implement the DeathByCaptcha service. At this very moment, they are running 87.6% correct.

Didn't even know about DeathByCaptcha.. seems they have solved the problem. What do you need then?

What programming languages are you using? Back in 1997 I was writing aol proggies in Visual Basic 3.0 lol..

I take it a man with your experience is not looking for spare programming gigs...The most obvious way to earn would be to design/build + market software that improves on existing wares like scrapebox/gsa/nohands/zennoposter...but that also is not going to be a short order...why dont you use your expertise to build a site to teach aspects of programming or share your knowledge on regularly encountered problems... Things like top ten tips or 5 ways to can generate traffic particularly if you have done some keyword research and decided on your targets..If you are passionate on one aspect of programming that will help.....monetization will follow if you build a useful resource.

At this point I can code in absolutely anything, currently I am doing a lot of PHP, Java, C++, LUA and a bit of Javascript/JQuery

what you folks never understand it's IT/IM world is already huge ... peoples trained years over some very specific areas can't just jump the boats and move elsewhere ... A skilled programmer can't just start one day and write like a professionally writer ...
It's like in real world you can't make a worker from mcdonalds to jump on selling jewellery on high-street stores lol ... Or you can't make a professionally pilot to work like a gardener ... Peoples losing years from their life , training / learning / studding a very particular thing ... we can't learn '' everything '' .

Why don't you browse around the IM world for a while, see what all there is to it. Find something that you like, get decently good at it, get a system set up, and then automate the method?

A skilled programmer like you would have a big part in the IM world. You can do JV's if you want...

I'm also a programmer from the Netherlands, I create some other stuff as what you did (my specialism is encryption/decryption algorithmic)
I have often the same problem but go to "jam" out some code, go to create something without a specific end result.

I can personally vouch for tgart. Dude is probably the best programmer I've ever met.

Write blackhat software for link building. You can make a killing if it's good.

Man, if you need help I have been working from home since 2002 with internet marketing. I am trying to learn C# and could use a teacher. Maybe we can trade. I am a well known blogger and have appeared on ProBlogger and other sites a number of times. PM me.
