I use jarvee. I scrape all the people that liked my last 1000 posts and put them on a list. Then i scrape all my followers and let excel mark duplicates then i select the leftover followers and remove them.

If I understand it correctly... you want to get rid of inactive followers as basically they bring your engagement rate down.
Tough luck... they have to unfollow you... no software can make those people unfollow you.

Make your own script or hire a dev,nothing can be better than this.
I have got some worse experiences with those shit public bots,better bot waste your time and money on them.

There is one way,you can block them and no complexity here.
First you detect who isn't following you and then block them,I guess this will work for this solution.

OK... I'll give you an example... I actually have an insta account with 17k followers... I want to dump about 10k of them... how do I make them unfollow me? I only want 7k active followers.

First of all,it will take time for sure.
First you need to identify those users whom you want to remove.
Second,You would need a script which will automatically block people with usernames list given to it from your account
Make sure this script has a lot of delays,natural activity in between to avoid blocks.
Thirdly,You can do it yourself or hire someone to do this for you.
I guess this will help you in what you want.
That's what I am doing. A new, updated Instagram app has the option to REMOVE the follower. And it's much easier than before.

I agree with megaclick, removing is better.
But how? how do i make those ghost followers unfollow me? I'd rather have 5k active followers than 17k. How do I make those 10k-12k followers unfollow me or remove them?
I don't mind doing it manually as it's safer and at times I have spare time.
It's funny, we are talking about removing followers, when there are so many people who would like the number and nothing else.

Found it, there's actually a button to remove a follower... I'll do so.
Ghost followers will do more damage than good. And I already have a decent amount of active followers so I can sacrifice those ghosts.
When you start it's nice to have a base but I now have a real base so i don't need those ghosts. They screw up my engagement.
How do these accounts with 1M followers manage to maintain their engagement high?
