Try logging in with the email and hit "Forgot Password" — FB might let you verify through mail instead . If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to go through their ID verification. Pain, but doable.

The account was verified with the old number but now the SIM is lost, it can still be recovered if you still have the email. Just reset the password via email to get back in, then update the new number immediately to avoid losing the account again. The important thing is to keep access to the original email.

If your phone number is not working you can try again by getting the confirmation code via email or by verifying your account ID to see if it works.

If you still have access to the email linked to the Facebook profile, go to the Facebook login page and click “Forgot Password?”. Enter your email to receive a reset link. If 2FA is active with the old number, try Facebook’s identity verification form. Use a clean device and IP.
