How has BHW been coping with laziness and procrastination?

How long did you procrastinate on this post? :D

Just don't be a lazy fuck

I always wondered if meditation could help solve this issue :D

Use the 5 minute rule.

If you're too lazy to do something important then convince yourself to do it for just 5 minutes. Usually once you're there and after the 5 minutes you'll just keep going.

Hardest part is nutting up and getting started.

And if you can't discipline yourself to do a task for only 5 minutes....well I think ya gotta bigger problem and have to be honest with yourself on how serious you are about whatever it is you're putting off.

I read somewhere that your brain has a 3-second rule. If you think of something you need to do and don't do it in 3 seconds, your brain tells you why you shouldn't do it.

They said, count down from 3, and get up and do it in that time. I just take ages to get to 1, and my brain has already done the hard work of convincing me otherwise by then.

Yep, just do a dopamine detox, you will be so bored that work will seem like great fun.

I confirm that it's a good lead.

Forbid yourself for 3 days which attracts your brain.
Working will seem more interesting to you.
