Problems with Pages Not Detected in Sitemap

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my site's sitemap generated by Yoast. It doesn't detect some categories and especially the subcategories (yes, there are articles within them, and many, and there are no blocks in the nofollow settings or rel canonical...

Has this ever happened to anyone? Whoever manages to solve my problem will have my eternal gratitude!

First, check if the missing categories are included in the Yoast sitemap settings. If they're excluded, add them back.

Next, look for plugin conflicts or settings that might be causing issues. Ensure there are no nofollow or rel canonical tags blocking access. If all else fails, try regenerating the sitemap or reinstalling Yoast.

All checks have been done, and these problems do not exist.

However, now when trying to index a category link from Search Console, I received this error: "The HTTPS protocol is not valid and may prevent indexing," and of course, the site is in HTTPS. This is really new to me.
 
If your website is new or relatively new, you could try reinstalling yoast and see if the problem persists.

And sometimes plugins conflict with plugins.

If you find nothing is working, then try rankmath. This is also one of the great plugins.
 
These are the only plugins I have installed, and the site has been active since 2016 :D Not exactly a newbie... but only now, after experiencing an incredible drop due to the Google update, while trying to find a solution, I found this error in Search Console.

You can deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin and try All in one SEO plugin and see If it works out because I have faced the same problem.

Also, you can Deactivate or deselect the checkboxes for all posts or products other than the two specified (pages and posts). Refresh your sitemap by clicking the update button. Repeat the upgrade process to see whether the XML format error has been resolved.

Do you post blogs on regular basis ?

Yes, I publish the daily newspaper with more than 4.5 posts and update old posts.

Do you think Yoast could be the problem? By switching to another plugin, don't I risk losing all the metadata, keywords, metadescriptions etc?

Are you telling me this because you know that Wordreference causes this type of problem or are you saying this as a test to try?
 
Go to Yoast, disable sitemaps, save, then enable them again. If that doesn't work, check your robots.txt file for any disallow rules that might be affecting those categories.

I just deleted yoast and switched to rank math but still, not even disabling the cache plugins.. I can't understand how it's possible
 
Clear your cache (Yoast & browser) first. If that fails, try deactivating all plugins except Yoast & regenerate. Still wonky? Regenerate permalinks in WordPress settings (it's safe.). Let me know if these work, otherwise we can dig deeper.

If you can't do it yourself, you can hire an expert

Do you have access to your server error logs?
It's important to see if there is a RAM / CPU issue, as that can be one of the reasons why a plugin cannot be uninstalled.
 
for the next ones, I discovered the error, damn canonical on http after having done a recovery from a hacker attack, I had the categories all in canonical towards http, surreal!

Some time it happens. You need to create sitemap manually or restart your yoast plugin.
