Problem with Paypal!!

I have been working exhaustively, and managed to make over $500 this week selling ebooks.

3 days ago I added 3 new credit cards to my paypal account and removed a old one.

The next morning I had my account limited for 180 days saying that I was having excessive credit cards adds and removals!

I have sent 3 emails already to paypal, no reply yet, I was couting with this money to pay overdue bills!

Why can I do to withdraw my money, I haven't done anything illegal or against the TOS, just added credit cards to my paypal, I need to withdraw my money urgently and paypal isn't replying back!

Has someone faced this problem before?

What can I do to resolve it?

My English is horrible, in what right can they limit my account and money for 180 days?

i would call them, i never said paypal emails there useless its best to call them.They have good customer service over the phone.

Edit: sorry meathead beat me to it lol. They can limit your account for any reason there a pain in the arse! lol
They might of thought you was money laundering because u added so many CC and removed one so it looked like u was seperating them between cards. Thats my guess anyway they can be very picky.

Anyway, wouldn't I have to give my personal details to a untrusted person?

Someone who adds multiple VCCs to an account is considered high risk, and therefore not worth Paypal dealing with. They often limit accounts for "no reason" but in reality it is only when they consider a particular account to break their TOS or be risky to them.

Happened to all of us I'm afraid. I've had $XXXX tied up many times.

Called them and didn't get very far.

Opened a new account with new details.

Waited 6 months for my cash.

Stopped using Paypal unless it was essential.

I use 2checkout for my products - costs a little more than Paypal but is far less stress.

Poor you. hope paypal will reply your email soon and remove "limited" at your account. so, i think don't remove your old cc.

Like meathead, I've had XXXX tied up by those knucklleheads.

I called them and explained my situation and they removed the hold. I know your English is not the best but you may have to either call them or have someone on your behalf call them.

Maybe you have a friend or family member that speaks English that you can trust?

They scammed me with a chargeback years ago on Ebay. I sent the item, the person kept the item, created a bad ticket on Ebay, I replied to it and though it was over. They continued to make bad tickets/2,3 then the way it works is then the issue is considered resolved if you don't reply within 7 days. I replied and said the person has my item, did a chargeback and still got negative feedback, my paypal account negative (no response ever for paypal) because of the chargeback, lost my $273 dollar item (a very high tech Kyocera phone at the time, lost the money the sender sent because paypal doesn't do anything about chargebacks and they are automatic (no questions asked) & they won't answer emails from me or give me a number to call them. I did see a number to call them a few times (hidden away the number was) but never got anyone on the phone then (it was automated answer thing). They sent my name and addresse to a collection agency which I told them the whole deal and they didn't care other than say take it up with Paypal (already tried that they didn't care/hard to ever get anyone to respond). My account was suspended then terminated I guess due to it being negative from the chargeback although I told them everything many times (by emailing them & never getting a response from them). I opened a new account and used it once then it was frozen/suspended because it said that I already had an account according to their automated system for verifying and so now I have no account and both are frozen/suspended & I shread the collection agencies bills because if I got scammed, why the hell would I want to pay more money to get scammed more? Best thing to do is don't use paypal use Alertpay or any other payment processor instead. I always see paypay being used but once they get you, you'll be sh*t out of luck and there is nothing you can do about it either. It was a much better company before it got acquired by ebay. After the accusation, it went down the drain and turned into a scam. The company makes lots of $ though because its so widely used and their fees they get are like robbing a bank, but when you need support, your asking the wrong people because you more than likely won't get it. I have written them perhaps more than 15 times and only got "automated responses" but never anything back after that.

Excessive credit cards adds? Wow man that is just unbelievable, it looks like PayPal will use any excuse to keep your money, it seems like they really just don't give a damn. You really need to ring PayPal and talk to them.

that is paypal lol ... dont ever ever again doing that, include adding new bank account and then transfer fund to your new bank account after you adding it, paypal will directly limit your account

I had this problems too..

paypal is a joke man seriously a three ring circus. I stopped dealing with these clowns in 2004. good luck getting your money man, they are probably going to ask for a urine, semen, blood, passport id, and who knows what else. maybe legal action will scare them but probably not for $500 sorry man and good luck!

I think i'm the only person in the world who has never had an issue with paypal lol
everytime i get a payment it goes straight to my bank account and thats it . no issues . *shrugs
