Problem: Punishment from Google, Solution: Parasite SEO?

I'm in SEO less than two years and in this forum maybe a month, so I'm still learning and there's so much to learn!

My site never got manual action from Google but I got a punishment year ago and then one more time right now (please see the picture). Of course, I have no idea why it has happened, but anyway it's not the subject of the post, just introduction.



Now, the site is big (more than 1000 posts), but it contains just two pages that are really important and really bring money (long, original content written by myself). They rank well... or better, they ranked well until few days ago. They are loosely connected to the other content on the site.

Question: is there a way to save those pages? There's no need for them to follow the destiny of the site if it can be avoided.

I got one idea: move them to a parasite site (like Medium) and redirect with 301 their old URLs to their new home. If the site gets better I can move them back or if everything works perfectly in that new arangement I can leave them that way.

Is it a good idea? Anything better? Some details or tricks I should know?

fairly good idea. But they can never move back. it's already risky enough as duplicate, with your 301 you negate such risk (in a way) however, there is no going back. Maybe start another micro niche site focused on such money pages while doing the 301 redirect ( I know, you have chosen parasites like medium.com to capitalize on authority and traffic/comunity) And i also know you that starting a dedicated sites for these pages means you start all over again, but promoting two pages is so very freaking better than a 1000 ... I say, this is better than parasites. You know real sites are more favored and valued more and so they stand higher most of the time. Your site, your call. Good luck

Thanks a lot. I need some fast fix, even if temporary, so I'm trying Medium.com and Change.org. I hope in time something will come up and stick.

What date ? 2018 ?

The graphic starts in 2018 but the last penalty was this week (2019).

Maybe, I don't know enough so I don't even try to guess. I'm more after short-term and long-term solutions for money-making pages.

In the current state it is rather difficult to judge, because on the graph we see only the traffic that is collapsing. So first of all, try to determine the Google penalty that is involved.

The most common algorithmic filters are penguin, panda, Fred, and Medic Update. See if any of them are not involved.
