Wish I would have done this a long time ago.

If you're a good affiliate and have some time working under one network, you need to look around and find some similar affiliate offers to the one you're promoting. You'll most likely find the same offer paying out at a better rate on a different network. Find some on different networks, and then see if they will approve you.

Once they do, contact your current manager and tell him you found a better rate for the same (or similar offer) and see if they'll price match it. My affiliate manager offered to raise my rate without even batting an eye, bringing my payout per conversion from $28 to $36.

It takes literally 30 minutes to do some research. All networks take a cut. Once you build a report with a company chances are they want to keep you and they will let their affiliate managers have some wiggle room with offers.

I almost switched over $8 because I'm a money hungry animal and I don't like losing money. But now I get to stay on the same network, get the same rate, and still enjoy all the benefits I've earned for being consistent (weekly payouts and a dedicated manager).

Had I done this a few months ago, I would have gotten around $3,000 more in income.

Nice move. I guess aside from making a larger commission its also good to know specifically what other offers and networks are out there in case you get cut off from the current network.

Solid advice. Works 90% of the time every time lol.
It also helps to have an open dialogue and "relationship" with your AM at these networks. Build trust, establish rapport, and you'll find they are much more likely to work with you than against.

    Regards,

That's a fact. And a great reminder that EVERYONE you talk to who has any connection with your money and business ventures, is a networking opportunity. You don't want to be that shitty affiliate that the network doesn't like working with. Leave a nice review on their social media pages, check in on skype, send them business. Build that relationship and then when it comes to asking for more money you'll have a way better chance and getting approved.

It's also worth noting that if you find an offer on a different network that you want to run, bring it to your AM's attention. A lot of times they can track down the owner of the offer and get that same offer with the same payout available as an exclusive deal for you.

@HenryHavoc , Beers are on you ! Yes it's about being proactive and saying what you think you're worth mate.

If you don't ask, you'll never get. Worst they can do is say 'no' to you.

Good for you! :) And it's a smart move, really.
Everyone should follow your steps, not just in this sphere.

That's what we keep telling our pubs: ask, and you will get! We, the AMs are here to help you make more, as it is our way to earn more. Never hesitate to ask if we can add offers you like, or bump payouts, or send money before your payment period expires, or what offers/IP ranges perform best. It's a great pleasure to work with open and fair people interested in building strong partnership with you

    Super thread.

I was working an offer in one network and after about 3 months the advertiser bounced me as my landing pages were too aggressive (the AM saw them initially and said they were great actually) so I went to a different network, explained my situation, asked them to get the offer and I just dialed back the LPs and changed the urls.

Being in multiple networks and building relationships with your AMs can go a long way to keeping your strong revenue streams going.

That is really great advice, and you are right that relationship management is a huge part of any business.

It can be a double-edged sword. I've had networks give me pay bumps, only to see my conversion rate magically drop over the coming days/weeks. The EPC will stay the same due to the pay increase, but the network will up their shaving to compensate for the lost revenue

Nice work! In business, no matter the kind (usually) -- it is always great to build rapport and establish a trustworthy win/win relationship. The more positive forces working towards the same goal the better results. Keep it up.
