Private videos to get watchtime for monetization?

Hey.

I have this youtube channel which has content on it that creates lots of watchtime and subs. However, Youtube doesn't allow me to monetize my videos because it sees them as "third party content" (It's kinda true).

So, what I was thinking is to make those problematic videos private, upload some boring legit videos to get the monetization. I was thinking about capturing some footage off twitch streamers. Someone with a webcam should look legit right?

Will this method work or not?

nope have no connection whatsoever other than been following the project, not suggesting you buy coins at all (or even host content.)

What I was hinting is publishers will soon be able to upload and charge micro-payments for content protected with double encryption.

Sorry to go off topic, I see how my response has no relevance to your question. I've had a couple of drinks...

Would like to know others thoughts on the platform, but as I said I had no intention of highjacking your thread.

Unfortunately, Youtube does not monetize this kind of content such as twitch streams. Big channels still do not have any problem about that but small channels get demonetized with the same content.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it works like that. The videos that make your channels threshold watch time need to be public and original content. Youtube will still probably be able to see the private videos and reject your monetization because it's not your content. So to enter the review you'll probably have to delete those videos and of course the watch time will also be gone, but at least you gained the subs and those will stay. Think of video ideas that you can make which your subscribers will watch and make your required watch time.
