Are primary domains more likely to perform better than addon domains with SEO and Google indexing? If so, what's the expected impact, and the best way to mitigate negative SEO performance from addon domains in a shared hosting packages? Thanks
I never noticed differences (in anything that matters for SEO or making money) between primary domains and addon domains. I think you're overthinking it

Primary domains and add-on domains are a cPanel thing (that have been carried on over to other panels built to mimic cPanel).
It's an internal configuration system. And Google or anyone else has no business knowing if it's a Primary or an addon.
Most sites don't even use Nameservers these days, they'll use an A-record. Google doesn't care.
As long as your website is accessible when someone types in yourwebsite.TLD - contains decent content, isn't a replica of another site you own - you're good.
