Prestashop vs Shopify

Hello,

I am starting my first ecommerce store and I would like to know if anyone had expirience in Prestashop and Shopify and what you think of each software, because I dont know which one to use.

Advertise on BHW
Maybe try Wordpress + Woocommerce? Better option and easy to handle with tons of option for growth.
 
+1 for Wordpress + Woocommerce if not then go for Shopify.
 
IMO, Prestashop 1.7 has a lot of issues and Prestashop 1.6 is being discontinued very soon.

I've been using an open-source fork of Prestashop 1.6 called Thirtybees.

I love it.

It's definitely worth checking out if you're interested in Prestashop.
 
Never used Prestashop but Shopify has been great for me

The same goes for Shopify. Shopify is indeed EASIER to work with than Wordpress + Woocommerce for a beginner.

Either go for Shopify or woocommerce
 
Prestashop gets into issues very frequently, For e-commerce Majestic is the best option other than you can choose between WordPress or Spotify... Good luck

My suggestion always for Shopify.. Very easy to use and build website also but price little bit high..

WP + woocommerce = one time charged
Shopify = monthly rent
 
Prestashop : Serious e-Commerce Stuff
Shopify : Regular Dropshipping
 
Shopify is very flexible and has all sorts of tools (Apps) to meet your needs and to extend the functionality of your online store.

What you mean WP+Woocommerce is one time charged? I thought it was free, can you please elaborate in what is charged?

prestashop got multi store function. easily can monitor multiple store on same dashboard.

is there any plugins for woocommerce to do so?

Thirtybees is the future.. it's fast, intuitive, and light on your server.

It is.. we have been developing ecommerce website for our clients since 2014 using Prestashop.. we have raised the issues and fixes that needed to be done but could find answers, until thirtybees came along..
Thirtybees is an intuitive, fast, and light ecommerce platform.. it is our ecommerce platform of choice since its first release in 2016..
 
If you want it easy you will do WP+Woocommerce.

I haven't tried Thirtybees, but if you choose Prestashop be prepared to spend A LOT of time on their forums on every problem you encounter and every change you want to make, and learn SMARTY, or get some serious money ready for themes and plugins, because they're around $50 a piece.

I'v used Prestashop since v1.3 and I had high hopes for the massive rewrite to 1.7, but it ended up being a huge disappointment. I can not recommend Prestashop to anyone.
