Are press releases good for SEO?

Not so powerful for SEO, but, good for branding.

One of my clients is making me write press releases to amplify his product's presence on the web.

PR Web aren't too bad, but the only PRs I use are if they're part of an seo package.

There was a seller on Fiverr about 4 or 5 years ago, she did a great job and some of those links for the site in question are still live.

Funny, I recently answered very similar question. Oj well, here it is again...

Press release is great for:

• spreading your branding
• diversifying your anchor text profile
• diversifying link type
• referral traffic

Also, they indexed easier than other link types like web 2.0s or citations from my experience.

Not really. But you definitely need it for branding. The PRs you get as part of your seo package should be enough.

it is good for branding
