Yeah, if you're going white hat then don't spin. One thing to remember, though, is that it's the words themselves that are protected and not the meaning. So if you're thinking of spinning but wondering whether you can get away with it, a good bet might be to manually spin the PR sentence by sentence. Not a total rewrite, but changing the words and sentence order in a major way so it's "all your own work".
